Exhibiting Tips

Tips on choosing display equipment

Before buying any exhibition or display equipment, ask yourself some straightforward questions. The answers will help you purchase the correct equipment.

  • What are my exact reasons for exhibiting?
  • Where am I exhibiting, is it an exhibition centre, hotel room or even a village hall?
  • What space will I have at the venue?
  • What products/services will I be showing?
  • What image do I want to project?
  • What mode of transport for will I use to move the display equipment?
  • Who will be erecting the display stand?
  • What is my budget?

The answers to these questions form the basis of purchasing the correct display equipment and that is the main aim at BEC Display.

Tips for extending the working life of your display equipment

  • When packing your pop-up system away, ALWAYS roll your graphic panels with the PRINTED SIDE ON THE OUTSIDE
  • Never fold or bend any graphic panels
  • Do not expose your graphics to moisture or overly intense direct sunlight
  • Store in a dry, temperate environment
  • Never use excessive force to assemble or dismantle any type of display system
  • Do not touch any display light bulb with your fingers, even when they are cold
  • Banner stands - never un-hook the graphic from the top and let it drop
  • Carefully lower the graphic into the banner stand base
  • If sending display equipment by courier always use a transit case, a nylon carry bag is not designed to withstand the rigors of a commercial courier.
